Katie MacAlister convinced her editor to answer some fan questions on her blog. Check out the two-part answer. It's a bit of an insight into the publishing world. Bonus: see if you can guess which questions were mine.
That's pretty cool. I'm going to guess your questions were the first ones from the first interview! "How much fun do you have in your job?" and "What aspects of your job do you like the best?" Also maybe the one about her first impression. OK, how close am I?
You were kind of close. Mine were the numbered questions, the ones more closely related to debut authors.
I was a bit surprised by some of the questions with how little some people know about the industry. ... And I'm sure that some people thought the same of me and my questions. :)
Haha! I know it sounds lame, but when I saw those numbered questions, my first thought was that those were yours! I thought you might have had the "positive focus" ones, so I went with that. Nuts.
P.S.--Sounds lame meaning that I'm saying I had it right the first time, after you already told me which ones were yours. Not lame because of the questions. Glad I thoroughly complicated that. :P
